Steps TO Faith, Steps OF Faith

Steps To Faith are those we take to prepare us to be faithful. Steps Of Faith are those things we do in faith. I think most do a good job of taking steps to faith and need to improve on their steps of faith. It is possible that a step we took long ago was a step of faith, but now it is a step to faith. When I was younger getting a new routine started was a step of faith, since I needed to do different things in my life to open up time to read, study, and pray. Now, those are my basic steps to faith. God has shown me that I need to take steps of faith again.

While there are many, I will use Noah as an example of Steps To Faith then Steps Of Faith.

Hebrews 11: 7 By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.

Noah lived a life that was aligned with God. When we read in Genesis 6, we learn that God was sorry he made man for their thoughts were evil continually. Man had grieved His heart. However, since Noah did the things of God, “Noah found grace in the eyes of the lord” (Genesis 6: 8). Since Noah had many steps to faith, God have him grace, then God spoke to Noah. After hearing God, Noah took steps of faith.

Regardless which step is next for you, Step To Faith or Step Of Faith, you will move closer to God. Just know you do not need to wait, you do not need an angelic experience, a dream, or tragedy to happen.

I’m going to offer you this guide to a routine that will help you take your next step.

Know you are not perfect
Romans 3: 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
Humble yourself, for if you think you cannot improve, then you wont
Align with God on your routine
James 4:8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you
Get on God’s routine for you, take tips from others, but do what is best for you
Become faithful in something small
Romans 1: 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”
Repeatedly reading a cook book doesn’t make you a chief, neither does reading about faith make you faithful
Take a step
Go back to step 1
Each time you repeat the process you will improve on each step
Improving on this process brings you closer to God, confidence in Christ, Joy in all situations, and faith to live the life you are dreaming of.
